[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘪𑘱𑘡𑘭𑘜𑘹 (vinasaṇe), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀯𑀺𑀡𑀲𑁆𑀲𑀇 (viṇassaï), from Sanskrit विनश्यति (vinaśyati). Cognate with Gujarati વણસવું (vaṇasvũ), Hindi बिनसना (binasnā), Punjabi ਬਿਨਸਣਾ (binsaṇā) / بِنسنا (binsnā).
