Etymology[edit]
Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘥𑘻𑘩 (bhola), 𑘥𑘻𑘯 (bhoḷa), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀪𑁄𑀮 (bhola). Cognate with Gujarati ભોળું (bhoḷũ), Hindustani بھولَا (bholā) / भोला (bholā), Sindhi ڀورو / भोरो, Punjabi ਭੋਲਾ (bholā) / بھولا (bholā), Nepali भोलो (bholo).
