Inherited from Prakrit 𑀅𑀘𑁆𑀘𑁂𑀇 (accei), from Sanskrit अत्ये॑ति (átyeti), from अति- (ati-) + एति॑ (éti). Cognate with Palula áača / آچہ, Sindhi اَچَڻُ (acaṇu) / अचणु / 𑊰𑋀𑋌𑋣 (acaṇu), Kholosi ačen, Kachchi અચણુ (acaṇu), Vaghri અચ્ચણુ (accaṇu).
