[edit]Inherited from Prakrit 𑀚𑀼𑀡𑁆𑀡 (juṇṇa) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀓- (-ka-), from Sanskrit जूर्ण (jūrṇá, “old, decayed”), variant of जीर्ण (jīrṇa). Cognate to Hindustani جُونا / जूना (jūnā), Konkani जून (jūn), Marathi जुने (june), Odia ଜୁନା (junā), and Punjabi ਜੁੱਨ (junna)
