Inherited from Old Gujarati सोहाग (sohāga), सुहाग (suhāga), सोहग्ग (sohagga), from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀲𑁄𑀳𑀕𑁆𑀕 (sohagga), from Sanskrit सौभाग्य (saúbhāgya). Doublet of સૌભાગ્ય (saubhāgya).
