[edit]From Proto-Kartvelian verbal roots *q̣w(l)ep-, *q̣w(l)ip-, *q̣w(l)p- (“to scratch off; to strip off; to fade”). Cognate with Georgian ყვლეფა (q̇vlepa).
Ačaṙean derives from Armenian. See in ყვლეფა (q̇vlepa)
