Usage notes

The character U+203C is recommended for the click letter by Unicode and is supported by SIL fonts (e.g. proper placement of IPA diacritics). The six basic ‼-clicks are:

Voiced ⟨‼̬⟩	ɡ͜‼	ɢ͜‼
Nasal ⟨‼̃⟩	ŋ͜‼	ɴ͜‼

The tie bar may be omitted, or the accompanying letter may be superscripted: ⟨ᵏ‼ ᶢ‼ ᵑ‼ 𐞥‼ 𐞒‼ ᶰ‼⟩.

If the order is reversed, e.g. ⟨‼q⟩, that may imply that the velar or uvular release is audible (delayed release).
