1. to burn, to grill

   かてぃむんぬ　ねーんくとぅ、　くーが（ぐゎー）　やち　かってぃ　かまな。

   Katimunnu nēnkutu, kūga (gwā) yachi katti kamana.

   Because we don't have a side dish, should we fry eggs and eat them together?

   やまとぅんちょー　あちさる　なちに　うったーてぃ　どぅーやちーが　うちなーんかい　ちゅーん。

   Yamatunchō achisaru nachini uttāti dūyachīga uchinānkai chūn.

   Japanese people during the summer, they go to Okinawa to grill especially bodies.

     おきり火にゐして　／　焼くよりも　まさて　／　かなし　ふやかれの　／　ももの　くりしや

     okiriBIniwishite / YAkuyorimo masate / kanashi fuyakare-no / momo-no kurisha

     I set down the cinder fire / to do better than burning it. / Separating it from divine, / Hundreds of pain.
