    Sino-Korean word from 月曜日, from 月曜 (moon) + (day), from Latin dies lunae (moon's day), through Indian astrology in the fifth century as Sanskrit सोमाह (somāha, of the moon) into Buddhist astrology in the eighth century as 月曜日.
