Etymology
[edit]Coined more than 300 years ago by a family in the central part of Iran. The word “Nankali” is derived from a combination of two words, نان (nân, “bread”) and کلی (kali, “immense”).[1] Nankali as a word means breadwinner, the member of a household who earns all or most of the income.
