From Khmer កម្ពុជាធិបតី (kɑɑmpuciəthɨptəy, literally Greater Cambodia),[1] from កម្ពុជា (kampuciə, Cambodia) + អធិបតី (ʼaʼthipaʼdəy, principal; chief; etc), equivalent to Thai กัมพูชา (gam-puu-chaa) +‎ อธิบดี (à-típ-bɔɔ-dii).
