  1. (adjective-forming suffix, rare) Added to a monosyllable verb to form an adjective to express a permanent, habitual quality or nature.
    fal (to eat, devour)falánk (gluttonous)

Usage notes

  • (adjective-forming suffix) No longer productive. Harmonic variants:
    -ánk is added to back vowel verbs
    -énk is added to front vowel verbs
