  1. alternative form of (-i, noun forming suffix) used for words ending with the vowel а (a).
    мардона (mardona, manly, masculine) + -гӣ (-gi) = мардонагӣ (mardonagi, masculinity)
    бараҳна (barahna, nude) + -гӣ (-gi) = бараҳнагӣ (barahnagi, nudity)
  2. (less common) alternative form of (-i, adjective forming suffix) used for words ending with the vowel а (a).
    хона (xona, home) + -гӣ (-gi) = хонагӣ (xonagi, domestic)

  • Usually only forms nouns, with most formed adjectives using (-i) irregardless of the final vowel. However, there are some adjectives that use -гӣ (-gi).
