  1. One of four suffixes added to verb stems to form their infinitive, the others being -ալ (-al), -իլ (-il), and -ուլ (-ul)

Only found in a few verbs.

Etymology[edit]

Probably from the Proto-Indo-European *-lós suffix, with a preceding -u- vowel.
