  1. (medicine) Any solid tumour of the testicle.
    • 1791, James Boswell, Life of Johnson, Oxford 2008, p. 1249:
      The complaint was a sarcocele, which Johnson bore with uncommon firmness, and was not at all frightened while he looked forward to amputation.
