From hembra (“female”) + -ista, by analogy with machista (“male chauvinist; male chauvinistic”), from macho (“male”).

Usage notes
hembrista is usually employed by antifeminists to describe feminists, in a not offensive manner, unlike its synonym feminazi. Some people who consider themselves feminists also use it to express their disagreement with certain female chauvinist ideas or behaviours which some people have, and are usually claimed to be part of feminism.
