Icelandic

A 3-simplex, also known as a ferflötungur (a tetrahedron), fjórflötungur (a tetrahedron), þrístrend strýta (a tetrahedron) or þrístrendur píramíti (a tetrahedron).

Etymology

From Old Norse hyrna, from Proto-Germanic *hurnijǭ. Related to horn (an angle, a corner).
