From Old Galician-Portuguese algaravia, from Andalusian Arabic اَلْعَرَبِيَّة (al-ʿarabiyya), from Arabic عَرَبِيَّة (ʕarabiyya, Arabic). Compare Galician algarabía and Spanish algarabía.
