Burmese rosewood ‎(usually uncountable, plural Burmese rosewoods)

  1. Dalbergia oliveri, a southeast Asian tree of the rosewood family and its wood, valuable for its red lumber used in ornamental work including woodturning and furniture. The sapwood is yellowish-white with dark brown heartwood. The heartwood is very hard and heavy.
  2. Dalbergia bariensis
  3. Pterocarpus indicus
  4. (uncountable) The wood of such trees.
