  • In pre-1918 orthography, the letter ѣ̈ () occurred in rare instances where a stressed letter ѣ () was pronounced in the same way as the modern letter ё (jo). As with ё, Wiktionary follows the dictionary style by including the diaeresis, but forms with ѣ are also allowed as alternative spellings.
