Finding Citations

[edit]

I don't know exactly where to put this, but I think this is an appropriate location for the moment until I can find some Wiktionary: page about tips for finding cites. Anyway, one Google-fu trick that works on different websites is to search for "ii" when you are looking for a word with a ü in it. OCR mixes up ü and ii a lot, and there's rarely ever an ii in a word, so you're bound to find exactly what you're looking for if you search for the word and sub in "ii". For instance, at Taoyüan, the 1986 cite I found was found by searching for "Taoyiian". --Geographyinitiative (talk) 15:57, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
