EP insists that New Latin is part of Latin and that Translingual is not a language. I agree in principle. Practically it might be quicker to have Translingual entries, but I dread the consequences. Better to submit to the rigors of making real Latin entries for New Latin. We clearly need some approach that lightens the load on EP to get this done. The backlog at WT:RE:la is large and would be larger if the redlinks in Translingual entries were added. DCDuring TALK 21:22, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Some OneLook coverage of the suffix. We have it as Latin. I wonder how users interpret Translingual: as irrelevant to their language because of the heading? as worth looking at because it is on the top of a landing page or the only thing on the landing page? as potentially important because of the header? The answers would say whether a Translingual entry is an adequate substitute for an English entry. The same questions apply to our Latin Entry. Should New Latin terms appearing as Translingual be considered descendants or derived terms of the Latin or should they be ignored. DCDuring TALK 14:50, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
