From Sicilian Cunigghiuni or Curliuni, from Aragonese Coriglione or Conillon, from Norman Coraigliòn, from Latin Curilionum, from Arabic قُرْلِيُون (qurliyūn), from Ancient Greek Κουρουλλουνέ (Kouroullouné). Alternatively from Latin *Corleōne, from cor (heart) + leōnis (of the lion).
