Etymology[edit]

Origin unclear, but believed to derive from the Tolai Douk (cruel). Possibly related to dekdek (strong).

Duk-Duk (plural Duk-Duks)

  1. (historical) A member of a masked secret society of the Tolai, carrying out local extortion and terrorism and dressing in leaves.
    The Duk-Duks organised the law in New Britain.
