Indian wolf (plural Indian wolves)

  1. Canis lupus pallipes, a subspecies of grey wolf that ranges from Southwest Asia to the Indian subcontinent, intermediate in size between the Himalayan wolf and the Arabian wolf, and lacking the luxuriant winter coat of the former.
    Synonym: Iranian wolf
