Philological transcription of Biblical (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Hebrew יהוה, replacing earlier (erroneous) Iehova. As Jahwoh in Le Clerc, Ars critica, 1778[1]; Jahwo in 1784 (Breitkopf, Allgemeine Geschichte der morgenländischen Sprachen und Litteratur), 1790 (Wahl, Habakuk neu übersetzt). Jahwe in 1847 (Reuss, Der Acht und Sechzigste Psalm); Jahweh in 1855 (Herzfeld, Geschichte des volkes Iisrael).
