Etymology[edit]
Named after Lake of the Woods on the Canada-US border.
Proper noun[edit]
- One of 87 counties in Minnesota, United States. County seat: Baudette. The northernmost part of the county is an exclave (Northwest Angle) on the west side of the lake, accessible by land via Manitoba in Canada.
