From Tibetan ལྷ་ས ‎(lha sa) + Tibetan ཨོག་ཚོམ ‎(og tshom) / ཨག་ཚོམ ‎(ag tshom, goatee, chin-beard). Alternatively, from Tibetan ལྷ་ས ‎(lha sa) + ར་ཕོ ‎(ra pho, billy goat).
