Multiple adpositions

[edit]

@AryamanA What to do when one and the same expression can take different prepositions/postpositions (not for different referents, but interchangeably)? Looks like the templates do not handle it. Palaestrator verborum (loquier) 23:31, 9 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Palaestrator verborum: I don't think the templates can handle it adequately yet. For now it seems one has to use two invocations of the template. —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 00:21, 10 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ditransitive verbs of which one argument is an adpositional phrase and the other a nominal phrase

[edit]

Looks like we need a template for all objects (analogous to {{affix}}). Currently I have this: to [[recognize]] {{+preo|ar|بِ|means=someone or something}} + {{+obj|ar|acc|means=as}} which looks as in diff. @AryamanA @Rua Palaestrator verborum (loquier) 18:17, 10 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Transliteration

[edit]

Is it possible to add the ability to specify the transliteration manually? Fenakhay ❯❯❯ Talk 15:24, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

rewriting this module

[edit]

@Fytcha You pinged me about this module. I have a vastly rewritten and improved version that I wrote a year or so ago but never got around to pushing to production because (a) there were a couple of things I wanted to add to it, (b) I wasn't completely happy with the resulting appearance. You've reminded me to look into this again. Please take a look at User:Benwing2/test-obj and let me know what you think. Suggestions are particularly welcome for improving/changing the appearance. I have replied in Wiktionary:Beer_parlour/2022/July#Improve_on_the_simplistic_intransitive/transitive_verb_distinction. — Fytcha T | L | C 11:54, 13 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
