Proto-Finnic[edit]

Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Uralic *täwde. Cognates include Hungarian tele (full). The word has also been compared with Proto-Samic *tievë (full), which is of Germanic origin, but morphologically an analysis as *täü-ci is not possible: no nominal derivative suffix **-ci exists.

Adjective[edit]

*täüci
