Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Indo-Iranian *Hsućráwas. Equivalent to *Hhu- (good) +‎ *cráwah (fame). Cognate with Vedic Sanskrit सुश्रवस् (suśrávas, famous), Ancient Greek Εὐκλῆς (Euklês).
