Comparative reconstruction of Western Old Japanese and Eastern Old Japanese forms imaⁿda, and Ryukyuan forms, using Okinawan languages.[1]
Etymology[edit]
In Japanese sources, regarded as a compound of *ima (“now”) + *nta (from *ntani, possibly a contraction of にてあるに (ni te aru ni)).[2][3]
