From Proto-Balto-Slavic *wáśka (wax).

Reconstruction[edit]

The accent paradigm b is preserved in the Old East Slavic monument “Celebnik” with northwestern accentuation: воску̀ (voskù), воску́ же (voskú že), возко́мъ (vozkómŭ)[1].
