live is from *libjaną, although apparently they are from the same PIE root.
What I would ask though is: why is it necessary to assume that this verb survived until Proto-Germanic? Could the attested causative not have been formed already in pre-Germanic? --Tropylium (talk) 08:23, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
