@माधवपंडित Ruki was blocked by the laryangel in the proto forms, and still active well into Avestan and OPrs, where it was later applied. --Victar (talk) 08:47, 15 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Victar: I see, I've moved it back. -- माधवपंडित (talk) 08:50, 15 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@माधवपंडित: Thanks! --Victar (talk) 08:51, 15 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Victar: Ruki occurs in Sanskrit here as well though. —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 22:22, 15 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@AryamanA: Yep! --Victar (talk) 22:53, 15 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This seems sketchy. RUKI in general is not post-PII and certainly not post-PIr (it is too specific a soundlaw to have occurred entirely independently multiple times). If anything, its occurrence seems to show that either (1) the reconstruction of retained *uH and *iH for PII (by implication probably also *aH) is wrong; or (2) RUKI applied also "through" a laryngal. --Tropylium (talk) 17:06, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
