@Victar Hi! I'm not sure how to define this, since there are no verbal derivations. Do you have any ideas? —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 17:28, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@AryamanA: It looks like an original noun with various suffixes added. --Victar (talk) 18:36, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@AryamanA: This word has a PIE etymology, and some of the derivatives in PII likely come directly from PIE. --Victar (talk) 18:57, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@AryamanA, I don't think this should be reconstructed as a verbal root, as no PII verbs exist. --Victar (talk) 19:28, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Victar: I just thought that having a root would be better for tying it all together. FWIW Mayrhofer (vol. 2 pg. 440) specifically says it's a root meaning "binden". —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 19:44, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@AryamanA, it's inaccurate though to say all these words were built in off a fabricated root, even though they came straight from PIE. --Victar (talk) 19:46, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Victar This did all come from this root synchronically. —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 21:31, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@AryamanA Again, there was no such root in PII and with no such meaning. --Victar (talk) 05:58, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
