  1. (international standards, historical) ISO 4217 currency code for the former Sierra Leonean leone; a currency used from 1964 to 2023.

Usage notes

The Sierra Leonean leone was in the process of being redenominated, with the new leone being issued under the code SLE. Both denominations remained in circulation for the time being until the old leone was demonetized by the end of 2023.
