Etymology

The expected Luxembourgish outcome of (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old High German scuola is Schull; compare Pull from puol, phuol, and kill from kuoli. The form Schoul could be from Old High German *scōla through (re-)adaptation to (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Latin schola. The other (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Central Franconian forms seem to confirm this (see Schull).
