Borrowed from Japanese 新宿 (しんじゅく, Shinjuku).

  1. A special ward of Tokyo prefecture, Japan that is surrounded by the (clockwise from north) Toshima, Bunkyō, Chiyoda, Minato, Shibuya, and Nakano special wards; it is also the location of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office.
