@Atitarev, Cinemantique, Wikitiki89, Wanjuscha Are you sure? Ivanova has an ! by this term and underlines the final и́ in -и́я, which is her way of saying "this way and no other way". Benwing2 (talk) 13:02, 28 June 2017 (UTC)

Большой толковый словарь (!) agrees with me on stressed "е́" for both симметрия and асимметрия. Interesting that Русское словесное ударение says симме́трия (simmétrija) but асимметри́я (asimmetríja). At school we used both stresses but "е́" was far more common and my preferred. With "асимметрия", I think it's about 50/50. Орфографический словарь says both are OK for симметрия.
