@Bezimenen, Benwing2: An IP has changed the dialectal “ве́кье” to be transliterated as “vékje”. Should the translit module do that for vowels others than “о”? What about the pronunciation? —Anatoli T. ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 03:19, 20 June 2020 (UTC)

• @Atitarev: Dialectal векье (vekje) is identical to Macedonian веќе (veḱe). It's standard among some Western Bulgarian dialects and also a colloquial pronunciation elsewhere. Not sure how it has to be transliterated, though. “vékje” is formally all right, however, it is really a matter of notation. It may be good to stick to the notation that Macedonian uses, but I don't see anything wrong with -kj-.
• PS Other examples of dial. Bulg. -кь- = Mkd. -ќ- are кукя (kukja, “house”) (pSl. *-ťa), нокь (nokʹ, “night”) (pSl. *-ťь), цвекьe (cvekʹe, “flower”) (pSl. *-tьje), etc. None of them are standard. Безименен (talk) 13:50, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

@Bezimenen: Thanks for the response. Yes, I figured that кь* is akin to Macedonian ќ. Perhaps we don't want any changes. The reason why it feels like кье should have a "j" inside is because of the consistency with other forms, like кя where in the transliteration, the "j" is present. The Macedonian notation won't work, since "ḱ" is for letter "ќ". In Bulgarian dialects, it's represented by combinations of letters. --Anatoli T. ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 21:52, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
