(Notifying Atitarev, Cinemantique, Useigor, Wikitiki89, Stephen G. Brown, Guldrelokk, Fay Freak, Tetromino, Per utramque cavernam): What does "короб первый" mean? The quote here from Василий Розанов "Опавшие листья" (1913) originally said короб первый after the book title. короб (korob) literally means "box" or "chest" but I'm guessing "volume" here. Am I right? The page глагол (glagol) has another quote from the same author and work that was identified as "короб второй"; here also I guessed volume=2. @Benwing2: Ко́роб simply means ‘box’. Apparently (Google search) Rozanov had two boxes of handwritten pages, although really I don’t care why he decided to call his volumes so. Guldrelokk (talk) 06:06, 4 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
