@Atitarev, Cinemantique, Wikitiki89 Does the йе sequence in this word have any significance? Does йе normally signify a geminate йй (cf. Anatoli's geminate pronunciation of фойе́)? What happens in this word? Benwing2 (talk) 19:33, 16 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

This doesn't mean much, really. Like with other consonant duplications, some of them are geminated, some are not, some may be pronounced both ways, some patterns already discussed are there. конве́йер (konvéjer) doesn't have a gemination, even though "jj" follows a stressed syllable.
