Stress
[edit]@Cinemantique I'm not sure about stresses in Japanese loanwords in Russian. Would there be like a rule or something? --KoreanQuoter (talk) 14:52, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
- This word is very rare. We have no rule for it but usually in Japanese loanwords the penultimate syllable is stressed.--Cinemantique (talk) 16:28, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
- То́кио (Tókio) would be a unique exception, but, based on my unprofessional perspective, I think -ио would be treated sort of like a single vowel altogether. --KoreanQuoter (talk) 02:21, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
- Also, we have аниме́, карате́, айкидо́, дзюдо́, кимоно́, кобудо́, даймё, дохё, банза́й, гумба́й, иваси́.--Cinemantique (talk) 18:39, 22 September 2015 (UTC)
