@Vahagn Petrosyan I think Acharyan meant "Middle Persian". The xš cluster is preserved in Parthian as far as I know, and ç > s is a specifically Middle Persian development. --Z 13:33, 29 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Ačaṙean says “Arsacid Pahlavi”, but he did not distinguish well between the Iranian languages. I have removed the identification of the immediate source, until Martirosyan finishes his work on Armenian names of Iranian origin and points to the exact Iranian source. --Vahag (talk) 14:34, 29 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
