The first attestations I find are in English–Armenian dictionaries, published outside Russian-influenced areas. That means English duckbill is a better candidate, especially since its meaning fits ideally and the animal was first encountered by British settlers. --Vahag (talk) 21:04, 17 June 2018 (UTC)
