Although it is known that the PIE *ḱ>s (Arm) law of sound change is established and substantiates the evolution of *déḱm̥>tas, it is possible to question the potential reality that tasn was an Indo-Iranian borrowing seeing Hindi दस (das), Sanskrit दश (dáśa), Younger Avestan (dasa), Iranian Persian ده‎ (dah). Is it possible that տասն was a borrowing? — This unsigned comment was added by 212.42.202.234 (talk)..

No. That would need to be a very old borrowing for the Proto-Armenian *d > Old Armenian t to operate (as supposedly in պարտէզ (partēz)). Also, -n would be unexplained. Finally, the basic vocabulary is rarely borrowed. All numerals from 1 to 99 are native in Armenian. --Vahag (talk) 06:34, 3 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
