@Equinox Lane literally wrote both: “حَشَفَ, said of a she-camel’s dug, Its milk became drawn up or withdrawn or withheld, or it went away, from it.” When I wrote this I actually compared the English Wiktionary draw up and assumed a sense is missing from it. I’ll amend {{R:ar:Lane}} so it works as a quotation template with a parameter |instead=1 and you can add the sense if you feel confident. Fay Freak (talk) 04:36, 24 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
I see -- I (mis)understood it as a person "going away inwardly", i.e. retreating from society etc. Equinox 05:03, 24 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
