@Fay Freak, is this the only one from the root م ش ي (m-š-y) meaning ‘footwear’? مَاشِيَة (māšiya) fits better phonetically for the Caucasian words. --Vahag (talk) 13:41, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Vahagn Petrosyan: I have not found any, even this I could not find in use and dictionaries (browsing the web I have only seen the meanings doormat, treadmill, walking frame used) except in Dozy as semelle but this is plausible. {{R:ar:Baranov}} does not know anything similar to the words for обувь (obuvʹ) and подошва (podošva) either.
