@Kutchkutch – I think you've misread the word, it's چُوگُٹھا (cūguṭhā), not چُوگُنھا (cūgunhā). The correct term (in reference to the dictionary) is چَوگُنا (caugunā). نعم البدل (talk) 06:34, 18 July 2024 (UTC)

Although, I may sometimes confuse

the ں (نُون (nūn)) shape

with the ٮ (بے (be)) shape

in this case I was aware that the ٹھ (ṭh) in چُوگُٹھا (cūguṭhā) is

ٹ (ٹے (ṭe))

+ ھ (دو چَشْمِی ہے (do caśmī he)).

I was thinking

that the ٹھ (ṭh) might be a typo

or *نھ might be representative of

ن (نُون (nūn))

+ ؕ (small high طوئیں (toẽ))

What I did misread was

ُ (پیش (peś))

instead of the expected

َ (زَبَر (zabar))

on چ (چے (ce)). I didn’t realise that گُٹھا (guṭhā) is a different word altogether that is not a misspelling of گُݨا (guṇā) (or *گُنھا (gunhā)). This error can serve as a reminder to be more careful.

While I have become somewhat accustomed to finding Shahmukhi spellings in {{R:pa:Patiala}}, I am still trying to get accustomed to using {{R:pnb:Iqbal}}. Kutchkutch (talk) 09:19, 18 July 2024 (UTC)
